ABOUT P&Cs
The Queensland Government Education Department defines the role of a Parents and Citizens Association:
- work in productive partnership with the school principal and the community
- promote the interests of the school
- facilitate school and community development and further improvement
- achieve the best possible outcomes for students
Specifically, a Parents and Citizens Association will:
- provide advice and feedback about school activities and policies
- assist in providing resources to enhance student outcomes
- facilitate activities and services: fundraising, functions, tuckshops and outside school hours care services (OSHC)
