The primary focus of the Working Bee is to prepare the lower campus for the Hands and Hearts Fair that is the following Saturday 20th August 2022.

 

Tasks to be accomplished

 

LOWER CAMPUS:

  • Old Pre-School Building, disassemble school desks and furniture, toss into skip bin.
  • Bitumen service road, sweep sand on road and shovel onto garden beds or into skip bin.
  • Garden bed at Quinn Street pedestrian gate entrance - dig trench and install wooden plank from upper campus to restrict mulch spread.
  • Garden beds, spread 4 cubic metres of mulch over 3 garden beds along bitumen service road, behind Tennis courts.
  • Quinn Street pedestrian pavement, cut back over-growing grass to pavement edge.
  • Wheelie bins - clean the lids.
  • Toilet Block, clean branches off roof and remove sticks on the ground.
  • Oval, western edge, prevent access to drain near oval gate entrance using star pickets and orange mesh netting.
  • Oval, north-eastern corner, remove long grass and dead branches/logs into skip bin.
  • Oval, eastern edge, cut 3 metre high over-hanging branches off trees - clear area for 30 metre inflatable Obstacle course.
  • Building, eastern edge, staff car parking area - cut 4 metre high over-hanging branches off trees - clear area for sponsor marquees.
  • Building, western edge, trim 4 metre high branches off Jacaranda tree that over-hang the new building roof.

UPPER CAMPUS:

  • Sunken Garden, move 1 wooden plank to lower campus garden bed near Quinn Street pedestrian gate entrance - use as barrier to restrict mulch spreading.
  • School hall, move stage panels and legs into lower campus building.
  • Groundskeeper/PE sheds, move quarter-metre wood squares, support pads for stage legs on grass, into lower campus building.
